ISTITUTO ESPRESSO ITALIANO (IEI)
IIAC - International Institute of Coffee Tasters has been a partner of the Istituto Espresso Italiano (IEI) since the latter was founded in 1998. IIAC has in fact actively contributed with its sensory analysis method to the research which from 1996 to 1998 defined the profile sensory experience of Certified Italian Espresso.
Subsequently, IIAC became the exclusive partner for sensory training intended for professionals of IEI member companies involved in sensory certification.
The Italian Espresso Institute (IEI), which includes roasters, manufacturers of coffee machines and grinders, and other companies in the supply chain, protects and promotes the culture of quality Italian espresso and cappuccino. Today it has 36 member companies with an aggregate turnover of around 700 million euros.
